Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. Winner of three Tony Awards, including best musical, as well as the Pulitzer Prize, Rent shaped a generation of audiences and taught us all to measure our life in love. personal life and artistic process.

Scarborough Music Theatre performs out of the Scarborough Village Theatre located in the Scarborough Village Recreation Centre at 3600 Kingston Road, Toronto, ON located at the north east corner of Markham and Kingston roads inside the Scarborough Village Recreation Centre.
Free Parking is available at the theatre.
TTC accessible via the Markham 102 bus from Warden Station and Morningside 116 bus from Kennedy Station.
