Elizabeth is a director, actor and Ontario Certified teacher. Prior to her work teaching drama in secondary and elementary school classrooms, she travelled internationally for several years performing and collaborating with the movement theatre company Theatre Beyond Words. She is an award-winning director, and initiated camp programming for Scarborough Music Theatre in 2015.
Amanda is a retired TDSB elementary school principal. She loves musical theatre and has directed over 30 youth shows. In 2016 Amanda created SMTY so she could continue to combine her love of musical theatre and working with youth. She is a life member and award winning director.
Megan is a Teacher Candidate at Queen’s University in the Concurrent Education program, studying Music and Psychology. She is a proud alumni of SMTY and has performed in many SMT productions including her Acto-award winning performance as Natalie in Next To Normal. She is excited to share her passion for musical theatre with youth both in and out of the classroom!
Aliyah is a performer and teacher who is currently finishing her degree in musical theatre at St.Lawrence College/Queens university. Aliyah is a trained dancer and new member of the BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing), She has performed as a Follies dancer in SMT's Crazy For You, and a soloist in SMTY, participating in Camp Broadway, several Teen Intensives, and moving on to choreographing Legally Blonde Jr.
Sarah (She/They) is a recent Master of Teaching graduate from OISE and a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychotherapy candidate at Yorkville University. She loves combining her passions for education and wellness through her roles as a teacher, performer, and researcher.
Stacy's formative years were filled with teaching piano and voice lessons and working with the Upper Canada Chorus. She majored in voice and piano at the University of Toronto earning her Bachelor of Music Education. Stacy's dedication to music education led to the establishment of Stacy Jolena Studios . She also contributes to the George Brown College's Ballet Jorgen Dance Program and the Canadian Children's Opera Company.
Astrid is a University of Windsor grad in B.A Mus & B.M.A. She has been making people laugh and cry and has been winning hearts since the age of 4. Her most recent offer was with Canadian Stage in As You Like It last summer, as Celia and Gary Coleman/Understudy for Kate and Lucy in Avenue Q! She has performed at Carnegie Hall and the Lincoln Center and other fine theatres in Canada. Get ready for some theatre fun!
