SMTY FALL PROGRAM - JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAM

Casting is complete for our fall program.  Please check back in April/May 2024 for information on next year's session. 

 Our program is a great introduction to the exciting world of singing, acting & dancing and a great opportunity for youth with experience to hone and expand their skills. Students work in a group setting alongside trained educators to build their confidence, performance skills, and theatre etiquette. At the end of the program the students showcase their skills in a full scale musical presented for family, friends, and the community. 

This year we are presenting the full length version of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Students wishing to participate in the ensemble are not required to audition. For those interested in leading role please see the audition information below.

We strive to provide an environment that meets the needs of all children and work hard to provide an environment that promotes physical, mental, social and emotional health.

 For our youth group production in November we will be presenting the full production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. We hope that all of our SMTY members are in this show. 

Performances are scheduled for November 11 at 2pm and  November 12, 13 and 14  at 7:30pm,

Rehearsals will begin in September and will on Tuesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

To be a member of the chorus you do not need to audition. The auditions for leading roles will take place on June 4th from 1:00 to 4:00pm and June 6th from 7:00-9:30pm. 

To audition you need to sing one verse of a song from a Broadway musical (not from Joseph) and have memorized a one minute monologue. All SMTY members will receive specific audition information, including monologues you can use.

$240/youth

$430 sibling rate  (two children in one household) 

With your registration fee, you will receive:

• registration in our SMTY program and participation in the November show
• a branded show shirt
• show poster
• show magnet
• link to professional dress rehearsal pictures
• 2 tickets to any SMT main stage show for the 2023/2024 season at a $60 value. (Xanadu, Freaky Friday OR Rocky Horror Show)

Payment

Invoices for payment will be sent out June 10th after auditions are over and the cast list is finalized. Payment will be due on or before June 24th.

SMTY Refund Policy
Participants may cancel their registration up to 1 week prior to the start of rehearsals and receive a full refund minus a $50.00 administration fee. Once a program has commenced, no refunds will be issued. Exemptions, while rare, may be made in consultation with the Artistic/Production staff and SMT Board of Directors.
