What-ho, kiddies! Settle in and get ready for the trip of a lifetime!
There is something so incredibly special about pantomime theatre and I’ve had the best time rediscovering, and deepening, my love of the art form with Little Red Riding Hood: A Panto!. Here in Pantoland, we aren’t afraid to break the fourth wall and you shouldn’t be either. Don’t be shy! Let’s hear your biggest cheers for Little Red and your loudest boos for The Big Bad Wolf. And don’t forget to laugh until your tummy hurts!
Little Red Riding Hood is a story that we have all grown up with. At its core, it tackles heavy themes for children, such as: obedience, listening to your elders, and the dangers of talking to strangers. Our show does hint at these themes, but also explores the idea that heroes come in all shapes and sizes - even little girls who wear red riding hoods. And we made sure to have a good time while doing it!
The cast and crew have poured their hearts - and a healthy dose of fairy tale magic - into bringing this story to life for you. We hope this show brings you and your family as many laughs and good memories as it has brought us during rehearsals.
Now sit back, warm up those voices, and get ready to have the most fun! Are you ready!?
Oh, yes, you are!
Justin P. Douglas
Director
